Frequently Area 52 (146.52) is the first place New Hams visit after getting their license. Most of the time their first contact is on a HT or weak station with an inefficient antenna, or worse yet, they DON'T get on the air because they do not have any equipment! We are reaching out to established hams to donate any working 2-meter equipment (transceiver, antenna, power supply, coax, etc) you have laying around to the Area 52 New Ham Equipment Drive.
Please contact myself or any other Staff member with requests or offers. (Area 52 is not a 501(c) organization)
With your help, Area 52 would like to Elmer and prepare them for an enjoyable lifelong hobby. Area 52 promotes HF/2m/70cm Simplex operation in all modes to better understand fundamental Amateur Radio principles.
Thank you for your consideration,
Mark
